Our Services

At Laurel Heights Pediatrics we offer a wide range of excellent care for infants, children and young adults. Our doctors are board-certified specialists, trained and certified in the specialty of Pediatrics.

All are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics, which certify Pediatric specialists and set the standards for Pediatric care in the United States.

We provide the following types of services:

  • Well child/physical exams from birth to age 18
  • Sports and camp physicals
  • Pre-operative physicals
  • ADHD, school and behavioral issues evaluations and treatment
  • Pre-travel care
  • Acute and chronic illness care
  • Teen/Adolescent care. We do accept Family PACT

We offer the following procedures:

  • Foreign body removal
  • Initial fracture care
  • Burn and simple wound care
  • Suture or staple removal
  • Wart treatment
  • Ear piercing (This procedure is not covered by insurance and requires payment at time of service.)

We are part of the California Immunization Registry which maintains an accessible list of your child’s current immunizations.  We are also a Reach Out and Read site, and we will give your child a book at each wellness-checkup starting from 6 months of age.  

We offer routine expanded developmental screening at 18 months and 2 years in conjunction with the First 5 Alameda County/Every Child Counts program. We also provide fluoride varnish for those children most in need of enhanced oral health care.  Together with several county organizations, we have worked on a project to improve our “medical home” policies, particularly for those patients with the most severe chronic illnesses who have California Children’s Services
